NGO Capacity Team
For the last 5 years, Hands On Shanghai has provided a platform for Shanghai's young professionals to give back to the community through a range of issues (Children's Health, Elderly Care, Education, and the Environment), and in a manner that matches the busy schedules of those looking to give back to the community.
About the Capacity Program
For many NGOs though, while they are focused on the tasks at hand, the needs of the organization can easily be overlooked.
Many NGOs are short handed, developing things on the fly, poorly funded, and are in need of external support to help develop strong internal controls, build human capacity, create stable platforms, and develop their growth plans for the future A situation that only grows worse with time when left unaddressed, but with the right support, can become the foundation for the future.
Recognizing that building better communities takes organizations, and that many organizations would improve through the support of our HandsOn Shanghai has developed a new program to improve strategic planning capabilities and goal setting, build internal organizational structures, improve external communications strategy and mediums, improve budgeting and fundraising goals, most importantly it will work with organizations to make sure that they have the right people.. people who are capable of doing the right job, and are being invested in to ensure their contribution to the organizations is sustained..
... and we need your help!
