New to Hands On Shanghai (HOS)? Want to know more and get involved? Please come to our volunteer orientation.
Both "old" and "new" volunteers are welcome to participate. You can expect to get a better understanding of HOS. After the orientation, there is free talk time for you to relax and make new friends. Training will be conducted both in Chinese and English. Only 90 vacancies are available!

Location: The 4th Floor, Building 10, Lane 199 Weiye Road, Minhang District.

Volunteers prepare some pieces of beautiful music and play for the kids & parents waiting in the lobby to relieve their stress. HandsOn Shanghai provides a piano, but you are also welcome to bring other musical instruments. Please inform us in the comments about the instrument you will play. You should have basic skills, e.g. above least level 3 in piano.

• Sort the toys to keep the playroom in a neat order
• Check on the toys' condition and make sure all parts are there, so that they can be used and won't be any harm to the children
• Tidy and clean the playroom to create a hygenic and safe atmosphere for the children and their parents

Please note that this whole session is dedicated to cleaning and tidying the playroom. During the activity we will NOT open the playroom for the children to play.

Give those bed-ridden elderly special attention, companion and comforting.
It is suggested that volunteers first participate in the HOS training for this program before signing up for the activity. HandsOn Shanghai will regularly provide professional training in which volunteers can learn how to accompany elderly. This training is usually held every last Saturday of the month after the new volunteer orientation.
