Introduction of Heart Center Program (SCHC) Hands On Shanghai teams visit SCHC since Aug 2009. Volunteers attending Saturday program visit the playroom of Heart Center on the 5th floor. Aimed at bringing smile back to little sick children’s faces and relieving parent, our volunteers play with little babies, share useful knowledge with parents and help them relax. Children in the Heart Center are all very little (most of them are 0 years old to 3 years old) and very serious ill. Volunteers should obey the rules and regulations strictly and notice the special attentions. Volunteers’ duties include:Open prepare playroom for children, invite children to join, and help parents to relieve.

1. l         Play games, draw, or read with children
2. l         Chat or hearken to parents,
3. l         Share some useful knowledge about children education
4. l         Oversee the safety and order of the play room
5. l         Tidy and reorganize playroom at the end of session

Notice: Because children in Heart Center are all very little and serious ill, there are some special attentions for volunteers.

1.      When play with babies, volunteers should be very careful. Keep the safety is the most important.2.      Enquiry before you taking picture with the kids3.      Be careful about the 4.      Ask doctor/nurse team leader when you meet difficulty with kids or parents
